Birding Report 21 June - Gary Dubai Bird watching Guide

Quick Hit at Al Marmoom DCR – Duck Lake & Eastern Plain

πŸ“ 21 June 2025 | 5am | 20 km | 180 minutes

With just three hours on the clock, I set out to cover as many target species as possible across Duck Lake and the eastern plains of Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve. Conditions were hot and dry, but activity was steady, and I managed a diverse mix of desert, wetland, and farmland-associated birds.

Highlights included a lone Egyptian Nightjar, Pin-tailed Sandgrouse, and a surprise Northern Pintail near Love Lakes. The presence of both Black Swan and Fulvous Whistling-Ducks made for interesting variety.

Raptors and night birds were limited but notableβ€”Little Owl, Eurasian Kestrel, and a good sighting of a Black-crowned Night Heron.
